Presentation of the Achievement Awards to those individuals who have made tremendous contributions to the field of education in their respective domains.

The awardees were selected by a selection committee comprised of respected conference delegates and the ceremony was graced by the presence of esteemed chief guest, Dr. Sunita Aron, Editor-in-Chief of the Hindustan Times.

Ed Leadership Significant Contribution to Education Award - 2010 went to Mr M S Solanki,
Director, Academic and Training Maharishi Shiksha Sansthan, Bhopal, India

Mr M S Solanki, Director, Academic and Training Maharishi Shiksha Sansthan, Bhopal, India Theme: 'Solanki's Multipurpose Model: A Mini Geometrical Laboratory. Mr Solanki is ardent follower of Mahrishi Mahesh Yogi. He was of the opinion that there should be global peace. The countries should be boundryless so no defense management should be required. Mahrishi Mahesh Yogi was the founder of Transcendent Meditation. Mahrishi Shiksha Santhan is a group of 150 public schools, 2 universities and 6 management institutions. Ms Solanki gave a practical demonstration of the multi purpose, low cost maths project developed by him, has been successfully used to verify many theorem and axioms of geometry.


Ms Elizabeth Mehta, Muktangan Theme: The inclusive community based whole school approach to education demonstrated within the main stream system. Muktangan was founded by the Paragon Charitable Trust (PCT), and the activity has been spearheaded by Elizabeth Mehta, an accomplished educationist, with decades of experience in school level education, which included extensive work in the interiors of India.
